Randy Cole Represents

Based on the success of his "Fractured Travel Guide" series commissioned by Buckingham Companies and Dolce Hotels & Resorts, Andrew Bordwin was recently commissioned to create a body of photographs for installation in the corporate headquarters of Dolce. The series was shot at Dolce properties in the Napa Valley and Galloway NJ, with collaborative help from artist Federico Infante who worked with Bordwin to create a variety of chalk drawings for the series. Bordwin describes the project: "My goal with this commission was to find a way to communicate connectivity, nourishment and community in a Dolce environment, without being specific about any one property or any particular person. In a general sense, I wanted to convey the many emotional, physical and psychological aspects of a guest's experience in one frame. The result is a sort of rebus, a combination of person, place and thing that playfully invites the viewer to think about where a guest may be coming from, where s/he is spending time, and what perhaps awaits him or her while spending time at a Dolce property."
