February 2012 Shoots
Chris Gordaneer had an interesting shoot for GE’s new ovens. Chris stated that he thought the ovens have some great features. “You could cook two separate meals in one, while another is the largest electric range on the market. It’s impressively roomy!” For this shoot, Chris had to get that realistic sunset shimmer on the water, so he went back to some old-school photography. The effect was achieved entirely in camera - he had a print of a sunset made on duratrans and put it behind a water feature. The team created ripples in the water using their hands!
This month Lori Adamski-Peek did a shoot for Hewlitt Packard in Oahu, Hawaii. This was one of Lori’s favorite shoots of all time. She and her crew were assigned to take beautiful, dynamic images and Lori said the art Directors were AMAZING!!!! The shoot features great real athletes as models and Lori loved the great locations, great weather and great crew. Lori did a lot of work with waterproof and underwater cameras and crazy mounts with remotes.
Kate Turning shot a campaign with Legend House for WWE featuring the legends of wrestling this month. Kate had a blast hanging out with all of the wrestlers, and was thrilled that they were up for any crazy scenario she could invent.

Adam’s beautiful Clinique campaign “Fall In Love with Colour” was released this month. The imagery was of a heart with color splashed textures and Adam also shot the campaigns textures for the make up counter (printed booklets with Die Cut Hearts cutout).
Andrew Bordwin’s collaboration entitled Guarded with Adam Ames, Type A, is in the final stages of preparing an exhibition at The MCA Denver . It includes a multimedia installation addressing the TSA\'s prohibited items list, as well as a suite of eight photographs and a three-part neon installation entitled Target (red, white and blue). The show runs from March 28th through the end of June. Their sculptural installation Barrier is scheduled to be installed at Cornell\'s Johnson Museum.
March 2012 Shoots
Scottsdale Visitor and Convention Bureau had Kate Turning shooting the seventh image in the long running campaign “Experience Scottsdale”. Shot in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, the high fantasy and stylized palate of the images brought out the glittering lifestyle of Scottsdale, Arizona. Kate was very pleased with the experience of shooting in the desert, and enjoyed the beautiful wildlife featured in the images.
Andrew Bordwin was recently commissioned by Tiffany & Co. to create a collection of 20 photographs of New York City’s iconic buildings and landscapes. The series will be printed and installed in Tiffany & Co. retail locations worldwide and will show the city throughout the seasons. We can’t wait to see the spring phase soon shooting!
Andrew Bordwin just finished shooting a new video short called “The Scientist” in Long Island City. The film features Jeff Pucillo as a late 19th Century researcher, and Andrews older daughter Tamar as his invisible muse. This exciting project, soon to be featured on Andrews site, was brought to life through great collaborations with set designer Carolyn Cartright (Boardwalk Empire, Bourne Ultimatum), wardrobe stylist Marisa Crawford and Sound design by none other than Rich Spooner and T.B. Ward.

Kate shot “Honda Moments” for Honda CRV in January, and was thrilled to take on the challenge of creating a new visual experience of “two and a half D”, where the viewer experiences the sensation of moving through the image. “Shooting a car is like photographing a pretty girl in a latex dress, with patent leather shoes and lots of bling on her fingers” Kate said, and we couldn’t agree more, the cars look sleeker and sexier than ever.

Alan’s campaign for Fidelity Bank was shot in January, and while the warm vibe of the beautiful Connecticut home they shot in clearly comes through, Alan told us that there was actually a flood that day, and they had to be rescued! The shoot turned out wonderfully, however, thanks to a lovely cast and crew.

The campaign took two weeks to shoot, and while it was a very focused and effective shoot, the crew was tight, worked well together, and had a lot of fun. Kate Turning shot on location in California for Constellation Brands wines and spirits. This campaign showed wine in upscale and unique scenarios and featured, among other images, a shot of wine as art in a gallery.

Adam Savitch continues his stunning work for Hennessy
Congratulations to Adam on the release of his stunning images for Hennessy, rebranding the bottles and packaging of Hennessy V.S.O.P. No-one does splashes like Adam, who designed a rig with a water-works specialist to create the colorful curls. The way they designed it enabled them to shoot the curls with minimum editing, and as you can see, the result is breathtaking!

We have wonderful news this month, as we welcome Marty Umans to Randy Cole Represents. His portraits are real, intense and warm and often have a humoristic twist. Marty has worked for over 20 years with campaigns all over the world and is based in New York. We are very excited to see Adam Savich\'s international campaign for Garnier Ultra Doux. This is a brand new product launch for Garnier and it is one of a series of eight ads. Tiffany & Co. recently commissioned Bordwin to create a collection of twenty photographs of New York City\'s iconic buildings and landscapes. The series will be printed, framed and installed in over 150 Tiffany & Co. retail locations worldwide as part of the company\'s retail design update. The suite of photographs shows the city throughout the seasons and is now moving into the autumn phase... More to come.

Lori Adamski-Peek shoots extreme sports for HP
Lori’s extensive shoot for Hewlett Packard was a great success judging from the pictures! This wonderful campaign was photographed in Hawaii and featured 12 athletes and models surfing, kite boarding, mountain biking, kayaking, cave diving, cliff diving, horseback riding and more! It seems water, land, or air - Lori is there!
Kate Turning continues the amazing “Experience Scottsdale” campaign.

Adam Savitch shot Louis Vuitton Couture Jewelry this month. Each piece was one of a kind. With Adam’s eye for light and elegance each of the 22 pieces will more than sparkle.
Andrew Bordwin headed to Indianapolis for Buckingham Properties. Buckingham Properties recently commissioned Bordwin to create a series of photographs for their new art hotel, The Alexander. Part of the CityWay residential and retail development in central Indianapolis, these photographs will appear throughout the hotel as well as exterior branding elements. The pictures are a survey of fractured text taken from signage throughout the city and form a sort of abstracted travel guide for visitors.

Chris Gordaneer, who earlier this summer rounded up his crew and set off for British Columbia’s Pemberton Glacier. Alongside Doug Robinson, Nathan Morlando, and members of team Goose, the pack set off on their mission to create The Journey North, Canada Goose’s multi-format campaign for the Toronto International Film Festival.

MARTY UMANS photographs people flying through the air for BC Medicare
Marty worked on a combination still/film shoot this summer for Independence BlueCross Medicare. Working with Ed Nammour of Free Market Films, they shot still imagery for brochures and billboards while at the same time shooting super high speed film for TV commercials with the Phantom Gold HD camera. The client’s goal was to show people enjoying life, staying active and feeling covered-we think they more than succeeded. Great photos Marty!

Alan Kaplan worked closely with HealthEd to create a series of images for a soon to be released cancer care treatment. Working with wide cast of talent, including a pack five Pugs, Alan showcased the style he is known for-the documentation of authentic relationships and emotions in beautiful environments.

Andrew Bordwin splits his time between commercial photography/video and a contemporary art practice. With clients including Tiffany & Co., Gensler Architects, Hewlett Packard and more, Andrew’s commercial talent speaks for itself, but you may also have heard of Andrews\'s collaboration with Adam Ames, working under the name Type A. They have exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and taught at the Photography Department of Parsons School of Design in New York.

ADAM GETS CLINICAL FOR AVON
Adam Savitch was very excited to create imagery for Avon\'s A-F33 Clinical Serum. He worked with a wonderful in-house team to create a space age atmosphere for their hero image. Thanks to the success of this shoot, he was asked to do three more, all to be released in the upcoming months. Bravo Adam!

Two young lovers who bring life back from the dead are the focus of Michelle\'s conceptual still and motion piece entitled Otherworldly Soul Mates.
Chris and Tom film for FORD “DRILLS & SKILLS”
Chris and his producer extraordinaire Tom Nesbit collaborated on a series for Ford called "Drills and Skills." These lighthearted spots focus on Ford\'s campaign to teach kids about basketball and hockey. Well done gentleman!
Oh La La Michelle!
Michelle\'s latest photo series OhLaLa! was inspired by two films- Sofia Coppola\'s Marie Antoinette and Terry Gilliam\'s Brazil. Working with wardrobe stylist Melanie Willey and hair/makeup artist Pascale Poma, she specifically wanted to reference the "surreal, vanity-obsessed" character Ida Lowry from the film Brazil. This still series has been well received by the photography community, snagging two honorable mentions for “Fine Art �“ Portrait” and “People �“ Portrait” at the 2012 International Photography Awards. OhLaLa! was shot in both stills and motion.
MARTY UMANS, Standing Tall
Marty was approached by Publicis Life Brands Medicus to create heroic portraits of "patients undergoing successful treatment for lung cancer. The look of the shoot was accomplished by placing the talent atop an eight-foot high scaffold and photographing them from below. Beautiful images Marty!

Kate Turning asks “GOT MILK?”
A custom 1950\'s kitchen was recreated in a Brooklyn studio to suit Kate Turning\'s whimsical design sense and frequent use of vibrant, saturated colors. Her art director at DRAFT FCB Chicago chose a group of real-life mothers and daughters to create a feeling of familiarity and fun on set, with the entire cast of characters picking wild colors for their manicures before they stepped in front of the camera. Great job Kate!

GELLING with Adam Savitch
Adam worked with prop stylist Aran Tharp to create a series of images composed of fresh flowers submerged in freestanding transparent cubes. After several tests, they settled on the perfect substrate mixture and encased a total of thirty-four orchids, tulips, lilies and roses.
Kate T shoots KADY Z:
When dance-pop artist Kady Z was looking for a photographer to create the cover art for a song off of her chart-topping debut album One Million Pieces, she followed the lead of pop icons Katy Perry and Britney Spears and chose to collaborate with Kate Turning. Kate and Kady met for breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel and brainstormed all the way through lunch. The final image was the product of both artists\' imaginations and was inspired by the album\'s first single "Crashing Down."
Andrew Bordwin SWIPPs
Andrew just finished post-production on a 90-second anthem video piece for a new social media app called Swipp. The shoot took Adam to a variety of locations in the greater New York area, and included a staged music festival complete with performers, hoards of fans and banners.

Adam Savitch Shoots ARABIAN NIGHTS
WWD\'s fragrance and cosmetic industry insider publication Beauty Inc., approached Adam about creating a full-page still life image to open the magazine\'s December "Beauty Bulletin" section. The article focused on the booming Middle Eastern fragrance market and the American and European prestige brands which are introducing products aimed specifically for that arena. The perfumes included in the shoot included Byredo Parfums Bullion, Estee Lauder Wood Mystique, Oscar de la Renta Oriental Lace, Aramis Perfume Calligraphy, and Diptyque Amber Oud.
ACURA TAKES FLIGHT with Chris Gordaneer
Chris worked with Acura Motors to create a beautiful series of ads for their new luxury four-door RLX. Utilizing locations around the world including Chile, New Zealand, California and British Columbia, the campaign is creating quite a buzz. Look for the print ads and billboards out in February.
