Having been abducted by aliens at an early age, it's no wonder that Kate Turning just can't stand still. Her advertising assignments and fine art projects have taken her as far afield as Tahiti, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Europe and Saudi Arabia. Her unique and lyrical imagery often draws upon her travels. She orchestrates her photographs like frothy Rossini bonbons, bursting with detailed embellishment and an ever-present sense of fun and imagination. Her deep love of painting in all its forms from the Old Masters to Pop Art can be seen in her bold use of color and innovative lighting.
Kate is a graduate of Art Center College of Design. She presently divides her time between New York and Los Angeles with her husband and producer Steven Jacobi.
