The Lonka Project: Remembrance of Holocaust Survivors
Throughout 2019, 250 of the world's leading professional photographers, in 24 countries, generously contributed their time and talent, each capturing a Holocaust survivor in the context that makes a unique and memorable statement about their lives. The results will be shown in exhibitions in the US, Israel and Germany as well as in a book, to be available soon. The inaugural exhibition will be at the UN Headquarters in NYC in January 2020 marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
Five of our esteemed photographers participated in The Lonka Project, a photographic tribute to the last living Holocaust survivors.
Ethan Pines, Maurico Candela, Lori Adamski-Peek, Howard Schatz & John Myers survivor portraits will be on display at the UN exhibition and will be included in the global exhibitions and in the book.
The opening reception on January 28, 2020, marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The Exhibit will run through February 7th.
