Howard Schatz
Over the last 25 years the fine art work of Howard Schatz has been published in twenty-two books of photography. He has had over a hundred museum and gallery exhibitions worldwide, and has won virtually every award in photography.
His work is unparalleled and includes an incomparable range of artistic explorations including movement in dance and sports, portraiture, ground-breaking underwater work with dancers and models, beauty and fashion, still life, architecture, landscape, and, most remarkably, beautiful and original studies of the human body
He has photographed for dozens of magazines, among them Time, Vanity Fair, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, New York, Stern, L’Espresso, Numero Beaute, Marie Clair, Glamour, Vogue Italia, The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine.
He has made extraordinary images for such advertising clients as Ralph Lauren RLX, Escada, Sergio Tacchini, Nike, Reebok, Wolford, Etienne Aigner, Sony, Adidas, Sensei Cosmetics, Finlandia Vodka, MGM Grand Hotel, Virgin Records, and Mercedes-Benz.
Schatz’s fine art work is represented in galleries in the United States and abroad. He writes a journal, every week, called “ON SEEING,” discussing a wide range of subjects pertaining to photography.
